Data Center Cooling System Project Management

Kyoto Cooling provides mission-critical, water-free cooling with unparalleled levels of reliability, efficiency and modularity for data centers. With hundreds of installations in various climates around the world, Kyoto Cooling is the most experienced supplier of indirect cooling solutions in the data center industry.

Major Responsibilities
Data center cooling system equipment installation, commissioning, improvement, maintenance, troubleshooting and support to Amazon Web Service (AWS) team. Designated ‘go to’ engineering resource when technical advice is needed, and use my subject matter expertise to:

Water-free Air Handling Unit (AHU) Project Management, Budgeting, Procurement, Invoicing to customers, and facing the customers.
Hiring, Team Building, and Leadership to reach the organizational goal. New business development, profit-loss management.
Installation, testing, and commissioning of KyotoCooling AHU, HVAC system.
Perform, attend, and support different types of tests of the equipment.
Troubleshooting, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and creating Corrective Action (CA), documentation for site/equipment failures. Support operational issues and event support.
Interface with the customers and vendor companies to deliver project deliverables in due time.
Initiate Electrical, Mechanical, and Control system-related engineering works, do the works, and produce reports after completion of works.
Daily, weekly, and monthly work reports of construction work, and maintenance work to the engineering team.
Recommend design team to improve equipment design and manufacture for better performance.

Renewable Energy Plant (EPC Project) Management

GPSS Group is a renewable energy company in Japan. GPSS works for sustainable development and investment business, Due diligence services for investors, Monitoring service for large IPP.

Water-cooled condenser, air cooled condenser, chiller installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Installed SCADA system to control and remote monitoring of the power plant systems.
Installation and commissioning of the Niigata prefecture geothermal energy project (PC280 machine). Performed Electrical, Mechanical, Control System related engineering work.
Worked as a Head of technical for GPSS data center (AHU, HVAC system) business with Nortek, Digital Edge DC. Contributed to data center design work.
Renovation of Tottori waste heat recovery project (PC280 machine).
Troubleshooting of Miyagi and Oita geothermal energy projects (ET 4400 and PC280) machines.
Head of technical for business development in the Oita prefecture for a geothermal energy project.
Product manager for the vendor companies (TICA Group, Exergy, LU-VE Group, Electrotherm).
Team management, financial budgeting, estimations, and support customers for new business.

Assistant Manager (Mechanical)

Rural Power Company Ltd. (RPCL), Bangladesh.

RPCL is the first independent power producer in Bangladesh. RPCL has 4 power plants in operation and 3 ongoing power plants in under construction phase. I have worked in Mymensingh 210 MW Combined Cycle Power Station.

Major Responsibilities

Continuous and efficient operation, monitoring of the power plant process of 4 x 35 MW GE Gas Turbine and 1 x 70 MW Siemens Steam Turbine unit.
Take part in major overhauling and maintenance work of GE Gas Turbine and Siemens Steam Turbine unit.
Analyze thermodynamic, mechanical, electrical and chemical parameters and take necessary actions accordingly.
Implement engineering solutions to increase equipment availability, reduce operation losses and achieve acceptable production rates.
Managed HVAC system, emergency diesel generators, firefighting systems, switchgears for sub-station, national grid local systems, and HT, LT power supply systems.
Managed water treatment unit for steam turbine and wastewater treatment unit to remove contaminants from sewage to produce an effluent that is suitable to discharge to the surrounding environment.

Contributed to the development of the country with electricity throughout team work.
Worked in team and keep the machine 24 x 7 hr in operation.

Trainings
Was selected for a Training on “Operation & Maintenance of Steam Turbine” organized by Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), under Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on May 26 – 31, 2014.
